ACF Pro Review: An Honest Look After Real Use

What is ACF Pro?

ACF Pro is the premium version of Advanced Custom Fields. It adds features that developers reach for on serious WordPress builds, such as the Repeater Field, ACF Blocks, Flexible Content, Options Pages, a Gallery field and a Clone field.

It targets WordPress developers who want more control over editing screens and data modeling without building everything from scratch.

What we liked

The Repeater Field feels like a lightweight database in a single meta box. You define a set of sub fields and you can add as many rows as you need. I used it to craft a product specs grid where each row held a title, a price and a color field.

It kept the admin clean and let editors add 6 to 12 rows per product without opening new metaboxes. The feature is highlighted as a core PRO tool on the official page and is described as letting you repeat sub fields again and again.
